Highly successful both in the operatic and symphonic field, TaeJung Lee is quickly gaining the reputation as an inspiring and profound musician. He has led many orchestras and ensembles in many countries. At the Theater an der Wien, in Vienna, Austria, he worked as assistant conductor to Maestro Bertrand de Billy. He was professionally trained in Vienna under the legendary conducting Prof. Uros Lajovic and studied also with many Maestros in this world – Zubin Mehta, Sir Simon Rattle, Fabio Luisi, Kurt Masur, Bernard Haitink, Bertrand de Billy, Myung-Whun Chung, Toyama Yuzo, Johannes Kalitzke and Jorma Panula.

He continues to work on a regular basis with his mentor Maestro Bertrand de Billy, whom he has assisted on a number of opera productions and orchestral concerts.

TaeJung Lee’s repertoire spans a broad spectrum from Mozart to Mahler, as well as many contemporary works, but he has a particular affinity with the late Romantic period and opera repertoire.
