Ah…so this isn't what it is billed as; that it is a flute concerto, rather than an oboe…quite a difference…THANK YOU!!…
THis is not a concerto for oboe, but for flute. It is interesting in itself of course like most compositions of CPE Bach, but also beacuse it has a long and rich orchestral introduction. Th classical concerto form is on its way under our eyes.
