The fact that this man is blind but still knew all the notes- and played it beautifully at that- meant that he learned this piece by ear. Like how amazing is that!!! Amazing talent!

It's amazing not only that he might be blind, but that he is playing so beautifully with reversed (from typical) left and right hands (usually the right is the bow arm) and with a completely unconventional bow grip and fingering. His thumb is on the fingerboard along with all the rest of his fingers. I'm a flute player, so I'm probably missing a lot of other unconventional aspects to his technique, but I'm blown away by this performance.
